UI ideas

This is a gathering spot for my UI ideas. Most important is that the entering of hours should be as easy as possible!

• Allow users to preselect sub-keys to keep sheet uncluttered

• Use a calender widget to allow jumping to week, month and day sheets
  • A week number could jump to a virtual sheet even when chronolog has been configured for monthly concrete sheets
  • This widget should also use color codes to indicate progress status (complete/progress)

• Progress bars could alert management easily on what people to urge on to fill in their sheets

• CSV exports are Views

As I know the original perl hack I acknowledge the need of entering your data fast and easy. Our people usually log in once per day and update their sheet multiple times. It should be possible for them to do it similar to the current matrix:

• Open the page

• (optional: select a project/task),

• update one number for the new hour statistics

• (optional: extend a comment)

• save the form

• close the page

This takes only very few clicks and a few seconds. And that is important.
